Setsubun Mantoro
Setsubun Mantoro, or Lantern Festival at Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Nara, Nara Prefecture. Bugaku (ancient court dance with music) are performed from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.. More than 3,000 stone and bronze lanterns in the precincts dedicated by people from the Heian era (794-1185) up to present day, are lit up from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m..
Access: (1) The Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Nara Station or the JR Kansai Honsen Line to Nara Station, and then walk 30-40 minutes.
(2) Take Shinai-junkan Bus at Kintetsu Nara Stationor the JR Kansai Honsen Line Nara Station and then get off at Kasuga Omotesando Bus Stop.
