Rice-planting pantomime festival in Asuka

Asuka-no-Onda Matsuri
Asuka-no-Onda Matsuri (rice field work pantomime) at Asuka-ni-imasu Shrine, Asuka-mura, Takaichi-gun, Nara Pref. This festival is to pray for a rich harvest of this year. Masked men pantomime a process of rice farming in the precincts of the Shrine from 2 p.m. to around 3:30 p.m..
Access: The Kintetsu Kashihara Line to Kashihara Jingu-mae Station. From there, take Asuka Circuit Bus to Asuka Daibutsu-mae Bus Stop.
